|The Polynesian Voyaging Society is sailing our way! Captain Nainoa Thompson will sail his Hawaiian canoe fleet- the famous Hokule’a, the Hikianalia and the Ho’okela- to take anchorage in Honolua Bay from noon Monday, August 19, until sunrise Tuesday, August 20. Come join the PVS, the Surfrider Foundation, and Ritz-Carlton’s Ambassadors of the Environment to celebrate this special occasion.Noon: Approximate arrival of the PVS fleet
2-4: Surfrider Foundation and Hawaiian Paddle Sports will paddle guests from the Boat Ramp at Honolua Bay out to the PVS canoes, where people may board the boats for 20-30 minutes. Transport canoe space will be limited (5 people per canoe ride) so be sure to arrive early if you want to hitch a ride out to the PVS boats.
6-8: Ritz-Carlton’s Ambassadors of the Environment will host a presentation and reception for the Polynesian Voyaging Society. All are welcome.
