Maureen loves being in the water. and has been snorkeling Hawaiian waters for over fifty years - including all her favorite spots in West Maui. She appreciates the opportunity to give back and bring good people together through Surfrider.
Pat grew up in San Diego, snorkling at La Jolla Cove since her childhood. She moved to Maui due to her love of the ocean. She is a member of the Maui Canoe Club and also a Dawn Patrol volunteer for Hawksbill Sea Turtle Conservation.
Charlie Quesnel is one of the old guard, a North Shore fixture, big-wave charger, and G-land Warrior. He runs the books as tightly as he threads the tube at Moneytrees. You will know him by the handlebars on his mustache.
Jill is a dedicated ocean advocate and spends much of her free time looking for turtles during her morning beach walks and snorkeling for shells. Protecting access to Maui's coastlines and nearshore ecosystems is one of her greatest passions. She loves connecting with the communities who steward the island and is always looking for ways to better the surrounding environment.
Growing up with an instant love for the ocean and playing in the waves. Surfing has driven Greg to develop a passion for protecting the marine environment, and he is thankful for the opportunity to give back and spread that enthusiasm through the Surfrider Foundation.

17 years ago Petar taught himself how to surf while living in Mexico. The overfishing, erosional runoff, and ubiquitous plastic pollution there sparked a fire for ocean activism. This Kekaulike High School teacher tries to infuse aloha aina into the hearts and minds of Maui’s youth. After the Maui fires, Petar has been focused on reimagining Lahaina efforts. He tries to hang five in the summers and throw buckets in the winters. Chee hoo!
Heidi is actively engaged in conserving native and endemic species that inhabit both coastal and inland environments. She is involved in Save Honolua Coalition and Napili Canoe Club where she can combine her passion for environmental conservation with her love for being on the water.
Always happy to lend a hand, Mario brings his experience of surfing the interwebs to help the Maui Surfrider Chapter maintain their website and keep members and volunteers up-to-date on the latest events and initiatives. A Maui web designer by trade, and ocean enthusiast, Mario keeps our site running smooth for all our visitors.
Hanna has been on staff with Surfrider since November 2023 helping to lead the Maui Fire Response efforts alongside the Maui Chapter by initiating comprehensive water quality monitoring, recruiting and training Blue Water Task Force volunteers to expand sampling to the West side of Maui, and building capacity to align with our Ocean Friendly Gardens and Climate Action Programs. Prior to Surfrider Foundation, Hanna spent 10 years working with Auwahi Forest Restoration Project where she focused on volunteer coordinator and restoration of Mauiʻs native forests and watersheds. In addition to her passion for Hawaiian plants and restoration ecology, she is a dedicated outrigger canoe paddler. She currently paddles for local canoe club Nā Kai `Ewalu Canoe Club.
